Pastor Dennis Smith

Pastor Dennis Smith is the founder of Holy Spirit Ministries and has brought the message on the baptism of the Holy Spirit to many different venues around the globe.

Pastor Dennis Smith received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Colorado State University. While at Colorado State he became a Seventh-day Adventist Christian. After working in engineering for a short time he felt the call to full-time ministry. Smith has served the church as active layman, and in pastoral and departmental positions for over 50 years. He graduated from Andrews University Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity degree.

In September of 1999 the Lord led Pastor Smith to begin studying the biblical teaching on the baptism of the Holy Spirit. As a result of this study, he was convicted to specifically pray for this biblical experience. Soon after he prayed for God to grant this infilling experience of the Spirit a new spiritual life began to take hold.

Almost immediately Pastor Smith felt led to begin writing about the things he was learning, which have resulted in some 20 books being written on subjects related to the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

One of the most popular series of books Pastor Smith has written are the 40 Days devotionals published by the Pacific Press Publishing Association. Pastor Smith’s books are available at many Adventist Book Centers and on the www.spiritbaptism.org website.

Pastor Smith currently pastors the Clearview Seventh-day Adventist Church in Surprise, Arizona. Whenever you are in the Phoenix area our church would love to have you visit us on Sabbath. Our Sabbath School and Worship Service times are listed on this website along with the church’s address.
